Certified as a doula with the Australian Doula College and currently studying to be a BRM® Birth Pro, I am passionate and committed to providing support through all stages of pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester. Becoming a mother, for the first time or transitioning into a mother of many, is different for everyone. No pregnancy, birth or family is the same and I recognise that each is a new experience with their own set of values, needs and individual requirements.
As a mother of three and now grandmother, I understand the importance of meeting you where you are at and working together to ensure that you are physically, mentally, and emotionally ready for all that pregnancy, birth and beyond will bring. Before pursuing my passion as a doula, I operated a seven day a week business with my husband, employing women of all ages and backgrounds for over 14 years. This experience, combined with face to face, minute by minute interaction with customers, has enabled me to develop clear communication and organisational skills, and to remain focused while working under pressure - all of which are important in the birthing space.
I believe I am calm, well balanced, and practical and with a mother’s intuition am committed to listening well, guiding, and caring direct from my heart to yours. It’s important to me that you are well informed of your options and that all questions are answered with evidence-based research so the right decisions can be made for your birth preferences and any variations along the way. In creating a safe place where you are emotionally supported and constantly encouraged it is my prayer that you will be empowered and ready to welcome your little one into your family. And once baby is in your arms, that you are looking forward to all the love and joy that having a baby will bring knowing that while challenges will come you are so much stronger and capable than you were before because you are now a mother.
My greatest aspiration is to give love, strength, laughter, and kindness to all I meet. I believe with the right care and support women can have a truly beautiful and memorable journey into and through motherhood.
