"I have over a decade of experience working as a trauma therapist and mental health practitioner. Coupled with my experiences walking alongside those at the end of their life, I believe I am well placed to offer holistic, compassionate assistance for my clients and their support network. I can assist with navigating the end of life journey, providing options ranging from practical, to legal and spiritual. I work collaboratively with not only my client, their family and friends, but also any medical professionals or others who may also be a part of the journey.
I am a grounded individual who is able to listen, possessing a good sense of humour, a rational mind and oodles of empathy. I am highly professional, and I understand the value of a little time out when needed.
I have had personal experiences with the death of loved ones, as well as my own experiences within the hospital system as both a patient, a mental health practitioner and working on a palliative care ward. In the past I have worked with clients experiencing mental health issues, more recently working with those suffering C-PTSD. I have experience running trauma informed yoga and mindfulness groups and I understand how trauma is stored both in the body and the mind. I believe these insights provide me with a rich and informed tapestry to draw from."
