Dianne Cameron - End Of Life Doula Doula

Completed training: 2018

Other modalities: Endorsed Enrolled Nurse and Volunteer for Hospice

I decided to become an End of Life Doula in 2018 as in my current work as a Nurse in Aged Care I find that residents in my care would prefer to stay living in their own home but are unable to due to their comorbidities. This is one reason why I love volunteering at Hospice.

I see clients that have expressed that they are grateful and thankful that they are able to stay at home until they pass away, or as long as possible, with the help of volunteers and their loving families they can get their wish to pass away peacefully in their own home.

My experience with Nursing and Hospice has provided me with the passion and dedication to support clients and their families through their end of life journey.

The most rewarding part for me is to be able to support clients and their families through their end of life journey.

To be able to fulfill the clients wishes and for the client and  their family to have a better understanding of death through education and support.

Nothing is more pleasing than that to me. To me, that says it all.
