If you had told Amber after the water birth of her second child that she could hold space and help to empower couples to advocate for the type of birth they wanted she would have said “now that’s the job for me".

Every woman deserves support and through experiencing a traumatic and uninformed first birth this helped to empower and create a real passion to find ways to make birth a more positive experience. 6 years on from that day after leaving a busy marketing role in cancer prevention Amber is now a passionate and qualified birth and postpartum doula. “Helping clients navigate their way through one of life's most rewarding and transformative times is a real honour”.

Practicing yoga and its powerful ability to allow the mind to focuses inwards on meditation and visualisations really helped prepare her for the birth of her daughter. Most weekends when not on call you can find Amber passing the time outdoors, with her husband, 2 children and pup - sitting by campfires, listening to music, exploring different landscapes and swimming in the ocean.

Doing this work for clients is building experience and driving her passion to help them through the journey of pregnancy, birth and beyond.
