I am a mother of five children, a wife, a sister, a daughter,  a workmate, a friend and a doula and childbirth educator. I have had Reiki in my life for three years and try and practice it as much as possible on myself, my children , my dog and in my doula work.

The wonderful thing about Reiki is its simplicity. It is so subtle yet so powerful. The energy comes thorugh your hands as pure loving energy. It is non intrusive, non-manipulative, safe, gentle and effective. The great thing is - it is with you all the time. You can't forget to take it with you as once you are attuned, you have it for life.

Since Reiki has become apart of my life, I feel I am more focused, positve and optimistic.

I would recommend Reiki to anyone especially doulas or any health professionals, as the possiblities are truly endless. I have shared Reiki with mothers to be, women in labour, post birth for new mums as well as the babies and partners!

Reiki is a beautiful gift to give and receive.

Becoming a Reiki channel has profoundly changed my life, personally and professionally. It is without a doubt one of the best journeys  I have embarked on.

As a mother I am finding Reiki invaluable, I am always treating myself and my family. I've seen wonderful changes in us all and especially in my 9 months old son. It's helped enormously in restoring energy, releasing stress and giving us space to rest and restore.

Caring for myself through Reiki has provided the energy and patience I need to be fully in my life nad present to my son. One of the great things about Reiki is that it is completely safe and available anytime, anywhere!

As a doula using Reiki with my clients has been so rewarding. It is such a nourishing way to support women through their pregnancy and labour. It has given me more confidence knowing that I have another tool that is successfully helping in create a positive birthing  experience.

Helen Callanan is the most wonderful Reiki Master and I feel blessed to have had her as my teacher. After Reiki I and II seminars I felt completely confidant in what I had been taught and was so inspired by Helen's passion, enthusiasm and absolute love for this work. Everyone should be blessed with this knowledge!

I can not speak highly enough of the untold gifts that Reiki has brought into my life both personally and professionally. Such a subtle and unintrusive modality it has been a great source of comfort for me in difficult times in my life.

As a mother, doula, childbirth educator and counsellour Reiki has given me a much deeper understanding of myself and others and I would encourage any other health practitioner or doula to embrase the energy that Reiki brings. Many an early morning at a birth, it has been the Reiki I have called upon to allow me to continue my work as a constant support for the labouring woman and her partner. It has assisted me with my own children and helped others with theirs.

I feel very privilaged to have Helen Callanan as my Reiki Master, friend and mentor and feel blessed we have her available in our College. She is a woman of integrity and compassion. You will not be disappointed with the Reiki training Helen presents but you maybe be surprised at just how much it can bring to your life. Reiki is not a religion and only aims to to heal and give love.
