The Doula Heart Network
The Doula Heart Network
(DHN), unofficially started in 2004 and became official in 2007.
Founded by Renee Adair, who also has a background in women’s outreach
programs, Renee has always been drawn to help women give birth. We
believe that no woman should ever birth alone, and no woman should ever
be judged or receive any less care because of her race, colour,
religion, age or personal situation.
The Doula Heart Network,
warmly supported by our Ambassador Toni Pearen (Actress & TV
Personality) provides a variety of services, including providing baby
goods and support for women and their families in need. Our experienced
doulas and educators happily offer their expertise free of charge to
ensure that no woman goes without support or education at one of the
most important times in a woman’s life, the birth of her child.
The DHN encourages the words of love and non-judgment for any woman
wanting support when they give birth and during the post-partum period.
We are a non profit organisation that relies on the hearts of our
doulas and educators to provide this much needed support and care and
we welcome donations of money, clothes, furniture and toys so that we
may continue this valuable community service.
To make a financial donation or a donation of goods please contact our head office on 02 9569 8020.Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
I wholeheartedly support the Doula Heart Network.
Every woman should be 100% supported through pregnancy, childbirth and
parenting. After having my baby in 2009 I realise this now, more than
ever. The work of theDoula Heart Network empowers women to love and nurture, to be strong in the face of
adversity and for those giving birth and raising babies on their own,
to feel supported and loved. They are extraordinary women at the Doula Heart Network doing extraordinary things for child birth and beyond.
